The shirt was decorated with embroidery on the sleeves, on the front in two or four lengthwise stripes and with the same number of in the stripes in the back. These stripes were called 'pohrudky'.Upholding tradition, only marriageable girls and young married women could wear shirts with 'pohrudky'. The embroidery on the sleeves was divided into three parts and covered the entire sleeve.
